1. Pawan Kalyan’s Bro
Pawan Kalyan is one of the biggest names in Tollywood. The actor has established a stronghold in the Telugu film industry, and his fans are incredibly loyal to him. Now, the actor has made his Instagram debut, and he already has over half a million followers! Bhagyalakshmi Written Update has a simple bio that reads, “Rise, Face, Choose, Jai Hind!”
He is currently working on a few films. He has Venu Sriram’s upcoming action entertainer OG, Harish Shankar’s 2022 period drama Ustaad Bhagat Singh, and Krish Jagarlamudi’s upcoming fantasy-adventure drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu in the pipeline. Recently, he was in the news for his spat with Naga Babu over their different political views.
Besides these films, Pawan Kalyan is also collaborating with Sai Dharam Tej for his upcoming drama Bro. The teaser of the film has been released, and it has garnered a positive response from audiences. Recently, the makers of the film unveiled a new poster that showcases both the leads in their mass avatars. The poster has received a positive response from the audience, and it looks like it will be a blockbuster.
The teaser begins with a voiceover from Sai Dharam Tej, where he seeks the help of someone. He addresses him as ‘master’, ’guru’, ’tammudu’, and then finally, as his real-life uncle Pawan Kalyan’s voice appears in the background, thunder crashes in the scene. The teaser has generated a lot of curiosity among fans. The film is directed by Samuthirakani, and it stars Sai Dharam Tej and Ketika Sharma in the lead roles. It has been produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banners People Media Factory and Zee Studios.
2. Shah Rukh Khan’s Bro
Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular superstars in Bollywood. He is known for his illustrious career and also for his love story with his wife, Gauri Khan. The couple married in 1991 and is still going strong. But, just like any other Bollywood romance, theirs had its share of ups and downs too. For instance, Gauri’s family wasn’t happy about their relationship. Gauri even faced a threat with a gun once.
However, despite all the ups and downs, their love for each other stood the test of time. Now, Gauri is the co-owner of SRK’s production company and has her own successful film career as well. Their daughter, Suhana, is also a budding star in the industry. The upcoming movie, D’yavol, which is co-produced by Shah Rukh and Karan Johar, will mark her debut theatrical release. She is interested in Taekwondo and presently undergoing higher studies at London’s Sevenoaks School.
Despite being in the limelight for a long time, SRK is still grounded and has never forgotten his roots. He is an idol for many young people. He is the ultimate underdog whose success is a testament to hard work and perseverance. He represents an idea of India that is secular and not only about achieving material wealth. His recent film, Pathan, is proof of that.
While promoting his movie, the actor appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show and interacted with the audience. During the interaction, one of the fans called him a small-time actor. To which SRK replied, “You can call me anything, but I will always be your Bhai (brother).” This is a throwback of when the star reminded his fans about their cult friendship.
3. Margot Robbie’s Barbie
It’s a Barbie world, and Margot Robbie is living in it. The actress has been showcasing her most Barbie-like looks at the press tour for Greta Gerwig’s upcoming live-action film, with some of her pink carpet outfits directly inspired by the iconic doll’s wardrobe.
The Wolf of Wall Street actress has been bringing it all, from her Herve Ledger bodycon mini dresses to her Manolo Blahnik peep toe pumps. Her stylist Andrew Mukamal deserves a Pulitzer for his work, and we’re here for it all. The star also looked ready to head on a vacation in Sydney, rocking a glittery chainmail Versace mini dress—which is actually a vintage style from the label’s Fall/Winter 1994 collection worn by German model Claudia Schiffer back when it first debuted. The blonde actress topped the look off with a matching purse and sneakers.
Robbie was a vision of pink and polka dots for a photo call with co-star Ryan Gosling, as well as director Greta Gerwig, at a Los Angeles event on Friday. The actress wore a Valentino pink and polka dot cutout mini dress based on a Mattel Barbie doll release from 2015, pairing it with white Manolo Blahnik pumps. She added a toy-scale Barbie dream car to the mix and rounded out her look with rosy pink blush and lipstick, plus chrome nails.
Gerwig recently opened up to Rolling Stone about how she and Robbie, who is starring as the titular character, sought out “Barbie energy” when casting the film’s core cast. “I think we found it in Gal Gadot,” she said, referring to the Wonder Woman star’s “inner beauty and exuberance.”
While the movie is still a few months out, it is already facing a ban in Vietnam due to a scene that depicts a map of the disputed South China Sea. The country’s government reportedly considers the map to be an illegal invasion of its territorial waters, and has demanded that Warner Bros remove it from the film.
4. Taylor Swift’s Amsterdam Concert
For around 15 years, Taylor Swift’s melodic love songs and semi-autobiographical lyrics have inspired fans across the world. And now, the American singer-songwriter is returning to Amsterdam for a show that will see her hits get a classical treatment. She’ll perform at the enchanting Felix Meritis theatre, surrounded by flickering candles, accompanied by a live Hydra Quartet.
The gig is part of her ongoing Eras Tour, which kicked off in March this year. She’s already played 26 stadium dates in the US, and now the international leg is beginning with shows in Paris, Stockholm, Lisbon and Lyon before arriving in the UK for two concerts in Edinburgh on 7/8 June and Liverpool, Cardiff and Dublin. The European tour then continues to Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich and Warsaw before a final stop at London’s Wembley Stadium on 16/17 August.
It’s nothing new for a pop star to make the move from concert movie to big screen blockbuster, but 2022 feels like it’s been particularly busy for them all. Between Harry Styles dual roles in Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman, Shawn Mendes’ kid-friendly turn in Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, and Taylor Swift’s Amsterdam – which looks like a sophisticated autumnal indie romcom – there have been more high-profile debuts than you can shake a stick at. And all with mixed results, let’s be honest.
5. Adipurush’s HD Version Leaked
After a disappointing run at the box office, Prabhas’ film Adipurush has fallen prey to piracy. The Om Raut directorial was set to release on a popular OTT platform this month but it looks like the plan is in jeopardy now. The HD version of the movie has reportedly been leaked on the internet and netizens have been posting funny memes about it.
The movie is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana and stars Prabhas in the titular role of Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Ravan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. The film was mounted on a grand scale and was expected to become a blockbuster. But it fell short of the mark due to controversies and negative reviews. The film was accused of hurting religious sentiments and making fun of the Ramayana. It also received flak for its shoddy VFX and dull narrative.
Despite all the negativity, the film still managed to garner a decent number of views at the box office. It earned a total of 190 CRS in Telugu states and 320 crores worldwide. However, the piracy of the movie will definitely affect its collection as the audiences are less likely to watch it on OTT platforms now that the HD version is out. Moreover, it is important to remember that watching pirated content is not encouraged and one must always prefer to watch movies and television shows legally in theatres or on OTT platforms. Otherwise, you can end up getting caught and face legal consequences. This is a lesson for all of us!
